Batdorf Road Area Wastewater Systems, Wayne County, Ohio

Engineering Associates, Inc. provided services including the preliminary report, detailed design, construction administration and construction observation for the construction of sanitary sewers and a pump station to connect an unsewered area to the City of Wooster. This project includes 16,500 feet of 8″ gravity sewer and one 75 gpm pump station. Funding for this project included the Ohio Public Works Commission and USDA Rural Development. The construction cost for this project was $1.7 million.

Eastwood Wastewater Collection and Treatment System, Wayne County, Ohio

Engineering Associates, Inc. provided services including the preliminary report, detailed design, construction administration, and construction observation for a sanitary sewer collection system improvements and new wastewater treatment plant. The preliminary report evaluated alternatives for the collection and treatment of the wastewater based on economic and environmental factors and recommended an alternative for implementation. The sanitary sewer portion included installing 6,700 feet of 12″ gravity sewer and 5,100 feet of 8″ gravity sewer. The treatment plant consisted of a 160,000 gallon per day membrane bioreactor plant with UV disinfection, and phosphorus removal. Funding for this project included the Ohio Public Works Commission, ARRA and USDA Rural Development. The construction cost was $2,640,000.

Wayne County Care Center Water System Improvements, Wooster, Ohio

Engineering Associates, Inc. provided services included detailed design, construction administration, and construction observation of a new 17,000 gallon per day water supply, treatment, and storage system for the Care Center. The water supply consisted of two new groundwater wells. Treatment consisted of pressure filters to remove iron and manganese, pressure softeners to remove hardness, and disinfection. Storage consisted of 75,000 gallon elevated water tank. This project was funded in part by grants from the Ohio Public Works Commission and CDBG. The construction cost was $700,000.

WAY CR 8 – 0.243 96-054, Wayne County, Ohio

Engineering Associates, Inc. provided detailed design for a project that replaced an existing deficient bridge on County Road 8 (Shreve Eastern Road) in Wayne County with a single span prestressed box beam bridge over Shreve Creek. The construction cost was $235,000.00

WAY – C.R. 86 – 6.325 Smithville Western Road , Wayne County, Ohio

Engineering Associates, Inc. provided detailed design for improvement of 475 feet of C.R. 86 (Smithville Western Road) in the City of Wooster, by replacement of an existing 22 foot concrete slab structure over Little Apple Creek with an 18’ x 10’ Box Culvert, including upgrading of guardrail, drainage and pavement marking. The construction cost was $236,000.
