Herbert Koger, P.E. is a structural engineer with over 40 years of experience. He has extensive experience in all aspects of bridge design, bridge inspection and plan preparation. His bridge design experience includes single-span and continuous concrete slab structures, pre-stressed box beams, girders (composite constant depth plate girders, non-composite plate girders and rolled beam sections), piers (cap/column, tee-type and wall-type), abutments (stub, integral, semi-integral and wall), and foundations (multi-row pile, drilled shaft, and spread footing). In addition, Herb has extensive experience in designing other structural elements including retaining walls, footings, etc. Herb also inspects and supervises the inspections of bridges and prepares rating analyses and repair recommendations. He has taken numerous ODOT and other transportation planning classes including all ODOT LRFD design classes.
